417 Kayaks

Refundable Deposit — $50 per kayak
A $50 deposit is required per kayak at the time of pickup. The deposit is fully refunded when the kayak is returned in the same condition it left in. Deposits are accepted via Cash, Zelle, or Cash App.
1. Equipment Condition. The renter acknowledges that the kayak(s) and all included equipment (paddles, life vests) are in good working condition at the time of pickup. The renter agrees to inspect the equipment before departing and report any pre-existing damage to 417 Kayaks immediately.
2. Refundable Deposit. A deposit of $50.00 per kayak is collected at pickup via Cash, Zelle, or Cash App. The deposit will be refunded in full upon return of the equipment in the same condition as received. Damage, loss, or failure to return equipment will result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit. The renter may be held liable for repair or replacement costs exceeding the deposit amount.
3. Assumption of Risk. Kayaking involves inherent risks including but not limited to drowning, injury from water hazards, weather conditions, and physical exertion. The renter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the use of rental equipment and participation in water activities.
4. Release of Liability. The renter, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, releases 417 Kayaks, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from the rental or use of equipment, including personal injury, death, or property damage.
5. Life Vest Requirement. All renters must wear a US Coast Guard-approved life vest at all times while on the water. Life vests are provided with each rental. 417 Kayaks is not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to wear a life vest.
6. Renter Responsibility. The renter is responsible for the safe use and return of all rented equipment. Equipment must be returned by the agreed return time. Late returns may incur additional charges. The renter agrees not to use equipment in a reckless or unsafe manner.
7. Minors. Renters under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign this agreement on their behalf. The signing adult assumes full responsibility for the minor's use of the equipment.
8. Governing Law. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any disputes shall be resolved in Greene County, Missouri.
9. Entire Agreement. This document constitutes the entire agreement between the renter and 417 Kayaks regarding the rental of equipment. By signing below, the renter confirms they have read, understood, and agree to all terms.
